Dr. Allison Bardes is a West Virginia native, growing up in Green Bank, West Virginia.  She obtained her undergraduate degree at Bridgewater College in Virginia.  She then returned home to West Virginia to attend medical school at WVU, followed by residency at the WVU Eye Institute, where she served as chief resident and graduated in 2016.  She worked as a comprehensive ophthalmologist for Acuity Eye Group in Los Angeles, CA from 2016-2018 prior to joining the faculty at the WVU Eye Institute. 

Dr. Bardes is Board Certified and have been with Regional Eye since April 2020.  She is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society for Cataract and Refractive Surgery, as well as West Virginia Eye Physicians and Surgeons.  She sees a variety of pathology in her comprehensive clinic – but surgically focuses on cataract and refractive surgery. 

Dr. Bardes resides in Morgantown with her husband, Jim, and their son Henry.
