   DEDICATION, PROFESSIONALISM SHOWN AT FGH
On Aug. 28, 2008, I was informed that I had a cataract that was ready for surgery.  I was very impressed with the compassion and professionalism of Dr. Wood and his staff.  I was set up with a surgery date and a date to return for a lens measurement and preadmission workup.  On the return appointment, in under two hours, I was measured for my new lens in Dr. Woods office; I visited the hospitals preadmission nurse; I had lab work and an EKG.  On the morning of my surgery, I arrived at the specified time where I was pleasantly greeted in the front office, given an ID bracelet and information sheet and instructions to check in at ambulatory surgery.  There I was greeted by a volunteer and escorted to the nurse's station.  From there on everyone in the area including my nurses, my doctor, the anesthesia staff and operating room staff very efficiently dotted all the "i's" and crossed all the "t's."  My surgery was scheduled for 9:30 a.m. At 9:27 a.m., I was wheeled into the surgery area.  I had my cataract procedure, returned to ambulatory, served breakfast, had my IV removed, given specific instructions and was taken to my car at 10:30 a.m.  The experience was orchestrated perfectly.  The teamwork, efficiency and organization of all those involved and mentioned should be commended.  I wish to thank the very kind, friendly, and professional personnel for making my stay comfortable for me.  I don't know how anyone could give Fairmont General Hospital anything but an A-plus on caring for our community and taking wonderful care of us.  We are blessed to have such a wonderful community hospital staffed with such dedication and professionalism.

"Thank you, Dr. Genin and staff in the Bridgeport office, for the many years of caring for our family's eyesight.  It was a thrill to see the children's delight when they first saw so clearly, in their first pair of glasses.  All I heard, from the back seat of the car, was "Wow, look at that!"  "Wow!"  Of course, there is the success of my cataract operation.  Thanks to God and you, Dr. Genin, for a remarkable outcome.  Due to your fine surgical talents, I can still "see through walls" with my one good eye.  I am thankful every single day.  If it had not been for your quick action, when I came in, with temporal arteritis, I know, without a doubt, that I would have suffered eyesight loss in both eyes.  How can one ever say thank you enough?  I am ever grateful for your rapid response, correct diagnosis and follow-ups to retain my remaining sight.  To all of the office staff, it is such a pleasure to be welcomed by people who actually know your name and who have warm and kind personalities.  You all, just naturally, put us who enter the door, at ease.
Thank you."      ~ Bob and Joyce C.

"I had LASIK eye surgery on 3/4/02 and it has literally changed my life!  My entire experience with this procedure was very positive and I would highly recommend it to anyone who is a candidate for it.  Dr. Lemley's expertise is outstanding and his staff was professional and proficient.  The surgery staff was very friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable which made me feel very comfortable throughout my surgical experience.  After 5 years post surgery, my vision is 20/15 and I am thrilled with my results.  I am a registered nurse who works for a group of 5 general and vascular surgeons where I assist in multiple surgeries per day.  I spend hours wearing a surgical mask with an attached eye shield and/or glasses or goggles.  Prior to my LASIK procedure, by the end of the day, my contact lenses would be so dry that at times they would simply "pop" out of my eyes.  In addition, when I would participate in any outdoor sports such as running, swimming, biking, etc., my contacts and eyes would get very irritated.  Now, thanks to my LASIK eye surgery, I don't have any of these issues AND it is really quite nice to wake up every morning and be able to see the numbers on the alarm clock!  My personal experience with this procedure, Dr. Lemley and his staff, was exceptional.  I really can't say enough positive about the whole experience."        ~ Kim Sanders

"Thank you Regional Eye Associates for bringing this procedure to our area.  I cannot begin to tell you how having the Implantable Contact Lens (ICL) surgery has changed my life.  I have worn glasses since I was five years old.  I’m now 52 and see better than I ever have in my life.  I’m 20/20 in both eyes and cannot believe how much better I see altogether.  The clarity is wonderful.  To awake in the night and be able to see is just amazing.  I occasionally wear reading glasses, especially for the telephone book, but other than that I have no need for glasses at all.  Nor do I miss them.  The procedure was relatively painless and the care given by the staff at Regional Eye Associates was superb.  I believe the staff went above and beyond the call of duty to help me in any way possible.  After surgery, I followed the easy to read instructions to a tee and thus I had no complications.  Now, over a year after having the implants, I am enjoying life without glasses.  I am hoping to be able to do this for my children one day soon as they both have worn glasses or contacts for the majority of their lives.  If you choose to have this procedure, I guarantee you will not regret it.  It’s the best thing I’ve every done for myself and I would not hesitate to do it again.  Thanks again Regional Eye Associates."    ~ Sue Rudd

"REA restored my vision using the ReZoom Intraocular Lens, the best money I have, or will ever spend.  It is wonderful to be free of eyewear after 40 years!  I absolutely love the new me."        ~  Becky Smyth

"I had worn glasses for nearly 30 years and had struggled with them in all types of sports over that time.  Having the LASIK surgery completed on a Thursday and then taking the following day off, I was a new person for the weekend.  Friday morning I was able to get rid of my glasses and contacts and haven't missed them since.  Being able to wake up and see, swim, ride a roller coaster, play sports or go jogging and not having to mess with contacts or glasses has indeed been life changing.  Life is complicated enough.  Not having to deal with something to improve my vision has been fantastic!  Thanks."        ~ Dave Sanders

"I was referred to Dr. Heath Lemley at Regional Eye Associates by Dr. James Genin of Clarksburg.  Dr. Genin referred me to Dr. Lemley because I was interested in the LASIK procedure.  During my thorough evaluation, Dr.  Lemley and his LASIK team determined I would be a good candidate for CustomVue LASIK and my procedure was performed at the Surgical Eye Center of Morgantown.  I was given the upmost care by their nursing staff.  My vision is far better than I expected!  I only wear reading glasses to read the phone book or fine print.  I highly recommend this procedure by Dr. Lemley and his team at Regional Eye Associates."      ~ Dave D'annunzio
