Why BOTOX®
The doctors at Regional Eye Associates have been administering BOTOX® injections for the medical treatment of blepharospasm (eyelid spasm) for over a decade. We are happy to announce that BOTOX® Cosmetic is now available and personally administered by these same experienced physicians to accurately and effectively treat fine facial lines and wrinkles for both men and women. BOTOX® has proven to be the best non-surgical form of facial rejuvenation and is capable of producing improvements in your appearance.
Reasons for Considering a BOTOX® Cosmetic Treatment:
-
Large wrinkles or furrows in your forehead.
-
Small wrinkles or “crow’s feet” around your eyes.
-
A vertical “frown line” or creases between your eyebrows.
BOTOX® Treatments:
BOTOX® Cosmetic is an injection that works by temporarily blocking the impulses from the nerve to the facial muscles, thereby relaxing them. The result is the underlying facial muscles relax and the skin begins to smooth out. Benefits from treatment are visible within 3-4 days following treatment. Results typically last an average of four months. Patients may choose to repeat the procedure for continued improvement and results (typically 3-4 times per year). During treatment a cream with local anesthetic could be placed on your skin prior to treatment. Typically a small amount of BOTOX® Cosmetic is injected into the area of the wrinkle with a very tiny gauge needle.
Recovery Process:
Patients generally return to their normal activities after the procedure but should follow the post-procedure guidelines: Patients should avoid engaging in heavy physical exercise, applying cosmetics, or laying down flat for a minimum of 4 hours after the injections. It is also recommended to avoid rubbing or massaging the injected area for at least 24 hours.
BOTOX® Cosmetic Fees:
Cosmetic BOTOX injections are never covered by insurance since it is an elective procedure. On average, Regional Eye Associates charges the following for these areas treatment: Forehead $450.00, Brow (crease between eyebrows) $210.00, Eyelids (crow’s feet) $210.00 per eye. Prices can vary on individual patient needs.
Before you schedule your first BOTOX® Cosmetic treatment consultation, you probably have some questions. We hope the following description helps to clarify the typical experience.
What to expect during your consultation/treatment (please note that although the following description is the typical experience, it is possible your visit may differ).
The day of your appointment, allow time before your appointment for filling out forms and for consulting with the doctor or a member of his staff. If it’s your initial visit, you may first meet with your doctor personally or a staff member.
You may also be asked about your expectations for treatment and if you have any allergies or any condition that wouldn’t make you a good candidate for BOTOX® Cosmetic.
Before the procedure:
You’ll probably be seated in a reclining chair, much like you find in a dentist’s office. No anesthesia is required, although your doctor may choose to numb the area with a cold pack or anesthetic cream.
The procedure:
Your doctor will determine where to administer the injections by examining your ability to move certain muscles in your brow area. The entire BOTOX® Cosmetic injection procedure takes approximately 10 minutes.
After the procedure:
There’s no recovery time needed. You are ready to get on with your day! The most common side effects following injection include temporary eyelid droop and nausea. Localized pain, infection, inflammation, tenderness, swelling, redness, and/or bleeding/bruising may be associated with the injection.

LATISSE™ Eyelash Enhancement Treatment
Hypotrichosis describes the condition of having thin, light, inadequate eyelashes. Prescription LATISSE™ is a treatment for hypotrichosis used to grow eyelashes, making them longer, thicker and darker.
New Innovation in lashes & growth
LATISSE™ (bimatoprost ophthalmic solution) 0.03% is the first and only prescription treatment approved by the FDA for inadequate or insufficient eyelashes, growing them longer, fuller and darker.
LATISSE works effectively
LATISSE™ makes lash growth possible because of its active ingredient: bimatoprost. Although the precise mechanism of action if not known, research suggests that the growth of eyelashes occurs by increasing the percent of hairs in, and the duration of, the anagen (or growth) phase. Lashes can grow longer, thicker and darker because bimatoprost can also prolong this growth phase.
Clinically proven results you can see overtime
LATISSE™ is easy to use, FDA approved and effective. It’s a once-a-day treatment you apply topically to the base of your upper eyelashes. Patients in a clinical trial saw results gradually over time (starting at 4 weeks with full results after 16 weeks).
It’s an innovation backed by research
While LATISSE™ is a new treatment in eyelash growth, it was developed through years of research by Allergan, a pharmaceutical leader with over 60 years of expertise in prescription eye care products.
